The 2005-01-01 date is quoted from the consolidated text's entry-into-force clause in a search summary; the same summary says the original 2004 gazette text provides for entry into force on the fifteenth day after publication, so provisions may have started at different times. uradni-list.si returned 503 when fetched, so neither clause was read directly. Earlier Slovenian data protection acts (1990 and 1999) were not added because they could not be confirmed.
